A highly successful international oil and lubricants company seeks a talented Lubricant Sales Manager to join their international team. In this role, you will be responsible for customer management, building and maintaining good relationships with distributors, conducting distributor management and direct sales, obtaining accurate forecasts from customers, and ensuring contracts are concluded.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday

SALARY: £36k-£38k, depending on experience + paid commuting costs

START: Mid-November

LOCATION: Central London, hybrid working available

Main Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with distributors (Several countries including Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia)
  • Conduct both distributor management and direct sales
  • Obtain accurate forecasts from customers
  • Establish good relationships with customers to resolve conflicts and provide timely solutions
  • Ensure that contracts/agreements are concluded with the customer
  • Take initiative and cooperate in resolving quality-related matters
  • Generate new business by utilising existing and potential customer networks
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
  • Account and transaction status reporting
  • Set and track sales account targets in line with corporate objectives
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. Quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Recommend actions to improve sales performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Monitor customer AR amounts and credit lines on a regular basis
  • Complete payment of all invoices associated with assigned accounts
  • Support in the absence of the GM
  • Other duties to be added from time to time
  • Continuous improvement through feedback

Ideal Candidate:

  • Preferably experience in lubricant sales, but if not, experience in chemicals, automobile parts, steel, etc, would be needed
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working B2B Sales / Business Development roles
  • Strong Negotiation and Influencing skills to finalise Contracts and Pricing Formulas with customers
  • Strong English-speaking skills are essential. Effective verbal communication in English is critical for engaging in discussions and negotiations with distributors
  • Sales Forecasting and Analysis
  • Commercially astute and customer focused
  • Strong ability for decision making
  • Motivated individual with Can Do attitude and ability to resolve issues with all stakeholders with confidence
  • Degree holder in Business or relevant disciplines
