A well-known Japanese entertainment company is recruiting for an experienced Data Analyst to join its Data Analytics team. The role supports end-to-end data analytics across the business.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of data analysis experience with strong Excel, Python and SQL skills, as well as the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyse sales performance by product, branch, language and region
- Conduct customer-level performance analysis to support sales activities
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential overstock and shortfall risks
- Analyse event participation and regional trends to support business planning
- Prepare analytical reports and supporting materials for internal stakeholders and Japan HQ
- Maintain and update sales forecasts using order data and actual sales results
- Compare order quantities against forecasts and sales targets, identifying potential risks
- Support annual budget planning using historical performance and forecast data
- Provide data analysis for distributor rebates and related commercial discussions
- Create, maintain and improve Tableau dashboards and recurring management reports
- Maintain data pipelines integrating multiple internal and external data sources
- Perform data cleaning, transformation and validation to maintain data quality
- Conduct ad hoc analysis covering inventory, marketing, events and other business requirements
Ideal Candidate
- At least 3 years of experience in a data analysis role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel, Python and SQL, including working with large datasets and forecasting
- Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and management reports
- Strong understanding of data cleaning, transformation, validation and data pipelines
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate analytical outputs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing deadlines
- Experience supporting commercial, sales or planning-related analysis would be advantageous
- Experience with Tableau would be advantageous
