Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform Asian-style grooming (Japanese ribbon style, Korean cuts, Teddy Bear cuts, etc.)
  • Provide full grooming services including shampoo, cut, combing, blow-dry, styling, and braiding
  • Deliver creative and individualised designs for shows and special events
  • Carry out basic health care tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and minor skin/parasite care
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of salon, tools, and equipment
  • Observe dog health and behaviour, and maintain accurate grooming and care records
  • Communicate with management regarding dog health, grooming progress, and any issues
  • Provide aftercare guidance and daily grooming advice to pet owners
  • Support and mentor junior groomers, fostering teamwork and skill development

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years' hands-on experience in Asian-style grooming (precision scissor work, Teddy Bear cuts)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in grooming work
  • Creativity and design skills for pet styling
  • Confident and safe handling of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Knowledge of canine anatomy and movement
  • Strong client communication and consultation skills
  • Experience using grooming tools (scissors, thinning shears, clippers, brushes, etc.)
  • Experience training or mentoring junior groomers is a plus
  • Professional grooming certifications (Asian-style specialty preferred)
  • Qualifications in animal care, behaviour, or canine first aid are desirable
  • Membership in professional organisations or participation in international grooming competitions is advantageous
