A leading trading company is seeking a commercially minded, technical, and highly motivated self-starter with a genuine passion for business growth across Europe, working remotely from the UK. Bringing expertise in inkjet, polarizers, retarders, optical films, thermoset resins, advanced materials, semiconductors, CFRP polymers, or display technology, you would work with the Chemicals Business and its subsidiaries to shape and deliver new growth initiatives.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
SALARY: £80k - £100k + car allowance
Fully remote within the UK
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate effectively within a diverse, multicultural organisation, applying strong business acumen to define growth initiatives and manage structured plans based on technical needs to achieve agreed objectives.
- Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within assigned advanced materials and chemicals markets.
- Generate and champion new business ideas that support sustainable business growth.
- Collaborate closely with prospective customer technical and management teams to stay informed of future product and technology development cycles.
- Formulate robust internal and external proposals based on the company’s technical capabilities, market needs, and overall business strategy.
- Support product launches and market entry activities, working across technical, commercial, and channel partners in this broad and cross-functional role.
- Drive strategic customer and partner relationships, securing early-stage technology adoption, design-ins, and long-term collaboration aligned with the company’s future product and application roadmaps.
Ideal Candidate:
- Business or Technical Degree, or equivalent commercial experience and knowledge.
- Commercial and/or technical experience in any of the following disciplines is desired: Polarizers, Retarders and optical films, Electronic Materials/Semiconductors, CFRP Composite Polymers, Display Technologies.
- 7+ years B2B related sales or technical experience.
- Fluent in Written and Spoken English.
- Ability to travel within Europe ~25-30%. Some global travel will be required.
- Visa support may be considered depending on experience.
