A leading trading company is seeking a commercially minded, technical, and highly motivated self-starter with a genuine passion for business growth across Europe, working remotely from the UK. Bringing expertise in inkjet, polarizers, retarders, optical films, thermoset resins, advanced materials, semiconductors, CFRP polymers, or display technology, you would work with the Chemicals Business and its subsidiaries to shape and deliver new growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and developing new markets, products and technology, and customer opportunities on a global scale.

  • TYPE: Permanent, full-time
  • WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
  • SALARY: £80k - £100k + car allowance
  • LOCATION: Fully remote within the UK

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute market strategies, setting clear visions and priorities, and effectively communicating these with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Operate effectively within a diverse, multicultural organisation, applying strong business acumen to define growth initiatives and manage structured plans based on technical needs to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within assigned advanced materials and chemicals markets.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic, proactive approach with the drive and confidence to engage and influence key decision makers.
  • Analyse and interpret markets and technology trends, translating insights into actionable opportunities aligned with the Group’s product portfolio and strategic scope.
  • Generate and champion new business ideas that support sustainable business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, clearly articulating and demonstrating the value proposition of the company technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with prospective customer technical and management teams to stay informed of future product and technology development cycles.
  • Formulate robust internal and external proposals based on the company’s technical capabilities, market needs, and overall business strategy.
  • Support product launches and market entry activities, working across technical, commercial, and channel partners in this broad and cross-functional role.
  • Drive strategic customer and partner relationships, securing early-stage technology adoption, design-ins, and long-term collaboration aligned with the company’s future product and application roadmaps.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Business or Technical Degree, or equivalent commercial experience and knowledge.
  • Commercial and/or technical experience in any of the following disciplines is desired: Inkjet Technologies and Inkjet Inks, Polarizers, Retarders and optical films, Thermoset resin technology for Advanced Materials Markets, Electronic Materials/Semiconductors, CFRP Composite Polymers, Display Technologies.
  • Significant Industry Experience; 7+ years B2B related sales or technical experience.
  • History of working in a multicultural and matrix style organisation.
  • Fluent in Written and Spoken English.
  • Ability to travel within Europe ~25-30%. Some global travel will be required.
