Banking Strategy Vice President / Assistant Vice President

A Japanese financial institution is currently recruiting a Banking Strategy Vice President / Assistant Vice President to work in their London office.
You will be responsible for handling matters related to Syndication business strategy of the EMEA region.
The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of international banking business. Experience in syndication / syndication underwriting / leveraged finance will be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:
- To support department’s senior officers in terms of the Banking Strategy in EMEA
- To make necessary administrative tasks arisen between Head office and EMEA
- To give guidance to front offices in EMEA coordinating with Head office
- To be responsible for handling matters related to Syndication business strategies such as organizing “Distribution Risk Committee”, prepare periodical internal reports relating to Capital Markets to Management in Tokyo, daily monitoring of DCM/LCM, report underwriting position, Stress Loss Limit usage etc. to the relevant departments
- To achieve other tasks assigned by management during the fiscal year
Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent knowledge of international banking business
- Experience in syndication / syndication underwriting / leveraged finance will be advantageous
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Handling data with great accuracy
- Excellent PC (Excel) skills
- Efficient time management skills
- Good teamwork and communication with colleagues in EMEA and Head office
- Motivation to achieve relevant assignments solving difficulties for oneself
- Fair and reasonable thinking to make recommendation to management
- Desire to improve career and skills by learning
- Business level of English
- Japanese language would be advantageous
