COS are a successful Charity here to improve the quality of life and equality of access for Disabled people. We do this through the provision of communication and access support for adults, children and young people. Whether you are an experienced Trustee or starting out, please get in touch.
What difference will you make?
We are seeking support with finance, clinical practice, income generation, press and PR and political influencing. This will support us in protecting what we have, and growing and diversifying. In return you will have:

What are we looking for?
We are a disability confident employer and we pride ourselves in mirroring those skills and attitudes when it comes to volunteers and Trustees. If you have a lived experience or secondary experience of living with an impairment then we will make any adjustments required to allow you to be a full and involved member of the Board. We want people who are enthusiastic, who will roll their sleeves up and get involved with not only strategic decisions, but team days and events and fundraising. We are looking for people with experience in finance, income generation, clinical practice, press and PR and political influencing, but all skills are appreciated.
What will you be doing?
As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of COS and making a real difference to the lives of Disabled People and People with a Sensory Loss. We’re looking for trustees with experience working in charities that are undergoing change as we diversify our services and customer base. Our board has a close relationship with our senior management team, and prides itself on being very friendly and relaxed. We are a small team that is responsible for everything, so bring all your skills to the table.
