We are seeking candidates for the role of lecturer/ senior lecturer in mental health nursing (subject to experience and qualifications) to contribute to the provision of our pre and post registration nursing education programmes.
Experience of teaching is essential at Senior lecturer and candidates with a research profile are welcomed.

- Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the nursing curricula and the specialist mental health related modules
- Take responsibility for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching and learning
- Contribute to the wider student experience through personal tutoring, classroom teaching and providing support in and outside the classroom
- Assist in student recruitment activities, including interviews, open days and external recruitment events
- The role may require cross-campus working
- To be successful in the Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing role you will
- Be educated to Master’s level or evidence of level 7 study and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered Mental Health Nurse
- Have an excellent knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing practice
- Be willing to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Education if not already achieved. Have an awareness of teaching and learning methodologies, and
- demonstrate enthusiasm for innovative teaching and supporting the development of learners.
