This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Recruitment Team. The UK Recruitment Assistant is a key role within the UK Recruitment and Partnerships Department. You will support delivery of key projects and activities of the recruitment operational action plan, feeding into the overarching University UK recruitment strategy with a focus on activities related to the Faculty of Art, Business and Social Sciences (FABSS). You will support activities outlined in faculty and course-level recruitment action plans, covering the ‘awareness to application’ stages of the prospect journey. The role also supports responding to prospect enquiries related to the faculty and works collaboratively with colleagues in conversion and WP roles to support activities for the faculty across the function. In a fast-paced, ever-changing sector, you will take a proactive and innovative approach to recruitment delivery at the University. You may deliver recruitment activities on and off campus, such as attendance at HE fairs and national exhibitions, and work closely with schools and colleges. This may involve travel within the West Midlands region and, occasionally, throughout the UK. It will also require you to be away from home on University business several times each year, and to work during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver recruitment activities on and off campus, including attendance at higher education fairs and national exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with schools, colleges, and internal teams; respond to prospect enquiries related to FABSS.
  • Support delivery of activities from faculty and course-level recruitment action plans across the prospect lifecycle.
  • Work with colleagues in conversion and Widening Participation (WP) roles to support faculty-wide recruitment activities.
  • Travel as required within the region and nationally; be available for occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Understanding of the HE student recruitment lifecycle for post-18 and non-traditional learners.
  • Experience delivering promotional activity (targeting, monitoring KPIs) preferably in a classroom/training environment.
  • Experience using a CRM system with strong data inputting and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build effective relationships and act as a university ambassador.
