An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admissions Assistant to join our Central Admissions Unit at the University of Wolverhampton. About the Role

As an Admissions Assistant, you will be at the heart of our applicant journey, helping future students from the UK and around the world take their next steps toward higher education. Working within the Directorate of Student Recruitment, Admissions and Marketing, you’ll support the day‑to‑day processing of applications, ensuring decisions are made promptly, fairly, and in line with University policies and sector regulations. This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days look the same. You’ll collaborate with Admissions Officers, Managers, and academic teams to maintain data accuracy, keep application pipelines moving, and provide a consistently high-quality experience for every applicant.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Processing applications in line with entry criteria and regulatory requirements
  • Keeping applicant records accurate using systems such as SITS, Enroly, and CRMs
  • Supporting key admissions activities including Confirmation, CAS issuance, and Clearing
  • Carrying out document verification checks and liaising with UCAS and internal colleagues
  • Responding to complex applicant queries with professionalism, clarity, and care
  • Getting involved in applicant engagement activities such as Open Days, webinars, and virtual events
  • Contributing ideas to improve admissions processes and the applicant experience

What We’re Looking For

  • A-levels or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Higher Education admissions team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organised under pressure
  • Experience using SITS, e:Vision, or similar student systems
  • Understanding of UKVI compliance and international qualifications (desirable)
  • Proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to problem‑solving
