The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is an independent organization dedicated to exposing human rights violations and threats to democracy. We achieve this through open source research, digital investigations, capacity‑building with local partners, and collaboration with media to amplify our impact.

CIR was born out of a determination to expose those spreading harm – online and offline – around the world, particularly in areas of violent conflict, such as Ukraine, Sudan and Myanmar.

We work closely with multilateral and national justice accountability bodies.

We’re always looking to connect with experienced investigators who specialize in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting open‑source data to generate actionable intelligence.

Contract Type: Contractor

Hours needed: Full or part time hours. Please state on your application how many hours you can do.

Location: Remote.

Main Responsibilities

  • Experience analysing or researching foreign information manipulation and interference.
  • Employ open‑source intelligence (OSINT) and social media analysis (SOCMINT) tools, techniques, and methodologies to conduct research into information operations and disinformation in various countries.
  • Use SOCMINT tools to conduct audience analysis and gather audience insight.
  • Analyzing and documenting evidence of Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour and other violations of platform terms and conditions and standards.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports, based on the above sources and analysis, highlighting key information, links, patterns, and risks.
