As a Personal Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide assistance and support to an individual who requires help due to their medical condition. You will play a crucial role in motivating and empowering the individual to live independently and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and prompting the individual with personal hygiene tasks such as dressing and grooming
- Provide physical support with mobility when out in the community
- Assist and attend appointments, helping to facilitate communication between the individual and providers as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual by identifying and addressing potential hazards or risks in the environment
- Monitor the individual's health status and changes in mood, reporting any changes or concerns to the employer
- Assist with daily living tasks including household tasks & meal preparation
- Offer emotional support and companionship to the individual, actively listening to their concerns and providing encouragement
- Help to motivate and encourage the individual to partake in daily living activities and access the community
- Supervision and prompting of medication administration according to prescribed schedules and ensure the individual adheres to their medication plans

- Work Time: Hours are flexible and to be discussed with the Employer, to include afternoon work, Monday - Friday.
