We are currently recruiting a Client Services Manager (12 month contract) for our Didcot office. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and have a flexible approach to their work.
Within a team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact, providing advice, resolving queries, and building long-term trusted relationships.
- Review work prepared by client services team, giving constructive feedback and ensuring technical accuracy.
- Monitor deadlines for VAT, Companies House, and HMRC submissions, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Oversee workflow management, allocating tasks across the team to meet client and practice deadlines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through regular one-to-ones, objective setting, coaching, and technical training.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and client service, recommending new processes, technology, or service offerings.
- Support Senior Manager with business development, client onboarding, and practice growth initiatives.
At least 6 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification within a UK accountancy practice, managing a client portfolio.
Proven technical expertise in accounting and bookkeeping processes, with strong knowledge of FRS 102. Experience with LLP SORP and IFRS would be advantageous.
Experience reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.
Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring, motivating, and supporting staff.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build trusted client relationships and resolve technical or service-related issues.
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance client service.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office.
