We are currently recruiting a Junior Accountant for our Reading office.
Your responsibilities:
- Support a portfolio of clients, with a primary focus on a specific client.
- Prepare the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet nominals.
- Journal preparation and processing.
- Finalisation of management account packs.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements for corporate entities, LLPβs and consolidations
- Preparation of the Financial Conduct Authority regulatory returns.
- Preparation and review of P11d and PAYE Settlement Agreement workings.
- Liaising with auditors and uploading audit information into a variety of systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, both virtually and in person, and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Willing to start or studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of accounting systems, such as Xero and Twinfield, is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communicational skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Valid work permit for the UK.
