About You: You're passionate about helping young people develop the skills, confidence and resilience they need to succeed in education, employment and life. Whether you're an experienced Tutor, Further Education Lecturer or vocational trainer, you'll be committed to creating engaging learning experiences that inspire learners to achieve their goals.

You will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational subject, ideally within Sport or Fitness.
• Experience of teaching English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Experience of delivering engaging learning to young people within a Further Education or post-16 setting.
• The ability to build positive relationships, motivate learners and adapt your teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Strong classroom management, communication, organisational and digital skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding, learner wellbeing and delivering high-quality education that supports positive progression.

About the Role: As an Occupational Studies Study Programme Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical learning experiences to young people at our partner sites based at Cheadle Town Football Club and Reddish North End Football Club - both based in the Stockport area. This is a split role working 2/3 days per week from each site.

You will support learners from initial assessment through to successful completion, helping them build a variety of skills, confidence, and recognised qualifications. Delivery will include Level 1 vocational programmes in Occupational Studies. This is a vocational qualification designed to support young people explore different career options, gain experience and build the knowledge and skills needed to support progression to next steps. Included in the delivery is Functional Skills and/or GCSE English and Maths up to Level 2.

This role combines classroom teaching, employability and vocational skills development, and pastoral support, preparing learners for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further education. You will also work closely with apprenticeship teams and external partners to support positive learner outcomes.

As many of our young people on programmes based at football clubs have a keen interest in football and sport, the vocational content delivered often, although not exclusively, reflects this in the units the learners will study - for example, Take Part in a Sport and Planning a Fitness Programme. Due to this, a keen interest/qualification in either sport, football or fitness would be advantageous for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver employability, vocational and skills-based teaching to post-16 learners
• Teach Entry Level to Level 2 Functional Skills and/or GCSE English & maths
• Embed work readiness, behaviour, and social skills into lessons
• Monitor learner progress and set individual learning targets
• Organise and support assessments, coursework, and examinations
• Provide pastoral and tutorial support to learners
• Maintain accurate learner records using ICT and tracking systems
• Build effective links with apprenticeship tutors and external organisations
