Location: Stretford campus, M32 0XH (with the requirement to travel to employer sites)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Electrical Installation professional looking to develop the next generation of skilled electricians? We are seeking an enthusiastic AM2 Centre Assessor to deliver, assess and quality assure practical skills training for apprentices and learners undertaking AM2, AM2E and related electrical installation qualifications. You will assess practical competence, technical knowledge and safe working practices, providing high-quality coaching, support and feedback to ensure learners are fully prepared for final assessment and successful careers within the electrical industry. Working closely with the AM2 Centre Manager, employers and awarding organisations, you will support learner progress, maintain accurate assessment records, contribute to quality assurance activities and help ensure our training and assessment facilities reflect current industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess AM2 and associated practical assessments.
  • Support learners through coaching, reviews and progress monitoring.
  • Maintain safe, compliant and industry-standard workshop environments.
  • Complete accurate assessment and learner documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance and standardisation activities.
  • Support learner recruitment, enrolment and employer engagement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.

About you

You will have substantial experience within the Electrical Installation sector, excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills and a passion for supporting learners to achieve occupational competence and career success.
