The predicted salary is between 37338 - 44962 Β£ per year.

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Pharmacist to join our friendly and helpful team here at The Central Surgery. We are looking for an independent prescriber who has experience of working in General Practice. An understanding of QOF indicators and experience of long term condition management of Diabetes would also be desirable.

Main duties of the job:

  • Reviewing acute prescription requests
  • Medicines Reconciliation of discharge and clinic letters
  • LTC and medication reviews

About us:

The Central Surgery cares for around 7500 patients in the Oadby and Wigston area. We are active members of the Oadby and Wigston PCN and are rated as Good by the CQC. Our current clinical team consists of GP's, Minor illness ANP's, an ANP specialising in care home and frailty patients, Practice Pharmacists and a full nursing team as well as extended PCN based roles. We are also an active teaching, research and training practice. We offer an excellent employment package which includes access to the NHS Pensions scheme. Holiday entitlement is 5 weeks plus Pro Rata Bank holidays. Salary is dependant on experience and the hours for this role are negotiable.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

Taking responsibility for own development with relevant evidence-based knowledge and competence in all aspects of the role to meet clinical governance guidelines for Continuing Professional Development - CPD and a Personal Development Plan - PDP. Stay up to date through attendance at any courses and or study days necessary to ensure that professional development requirements are met demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.

GOVERNANCE:

Produce complete and accurate records of patient consultation in line with best practice confidentiality policies and procedures. Deliver care according to NHS guidance NICE guidelines and evidence-based care. Take part in the maintenance of quality governance systems and processes across the Practice and its activities.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

Maintain confidentiality of information always acting within the terms of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott guidance on patient confidentiality.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Good knowledge of NHS medicines optimisation.
  • Experience of working in General practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Independent prescriber.
