We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Valuer for a fixed term period of 12 months to assist with the upcoming Council Tax revaluation of high value properties and non-domestic rating work.
Who we are
Central Scotland Valuation Joint Board covers the Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas and is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll for Non-Domestic Rates and the Valuation List for Council Tax. The Assessor is also the Electoral Registration Officer for the three Councils. The Board employs approximately 45 people and our office is at Glendevon House, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4TZ. Further information about the Board is available at www.saa.gov.uk/central/
What the job is
The successful candidate will be responsible for the survey and valuation of a wide range of property for rating purposes, the survey and valuation of domestic property for Council Tax, the negotiation of appeals with council taxpayers, ratepayers and professional agents and the presentation of evidence at appeal hearings. What the qualification requirements are
Applications are invited from Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with relevant experience in an Assessors Service or equivalent experience in the land and property sector.
