Summary
As a Climbing Instructor, you’ll play a key role in cultivating a fun, inclusive, and motivating environment for climbers of all levels.
You’ll provide private and/or group instruction, helping members and guests achieve their goals while strengthening the Central Rock Gym community experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging private climbing sessions tailored to participant goals and ability levels.
- Coordinate class schedules and logistics with gym management.
- Manage private session bookings through CRG’s booking platform, Rock Gym Pro.
- Partner with management to promote offerings through CRG’s website, social media, and in-gym outreach—while actively self-promoting to grow participation.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and community-oriented atmosphere in every session.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment before and after each class.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- 3+ years of climbing experience with some prior teaching or coaching experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and motivated to help others succeed.
- Knowledge of modern climbing instruction methods and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in building a client base.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred but not required.
