Responsibilities:
- Deburr and finish metal components using hand tools such as grinders, files, and linishing equipment.
- Work to production orders while meeting customer specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Use measuring equipment including tape measures, steel rulers, and vernier calipers.
- Select and use appropriate cleaning equipment for different materials and components.
- Package finished parts according to required specifications.
- Ensure all packaging is completed to a high standard to protect components during handling and transport.
- Follow all health and safety procedures in line with workplace policies.
- Read and understand work instructions and production orders.
- Use material handling equipment such as forklifts or lifting equipment when required (where licensed).
- Follow quality control procedures during all stages of production.
- Perform basic inspection of finished components and escalate issues when higher-level inspection is required.
