Central Recruitment is working with one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit housing associations. Their work includes providing people with a range of support and services to help them overcome barriers associated with age, homelessness, disability or health. Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in the Guildford area at a service providing support to individuals with complex needs.
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Sunday on a rota basis
- Shifts: early (07:15-16:15), late (12:15-20:15) and long (08:00-20:00)
- Temporary: approx. 2 months
- £15.26 per hour (£13.62 plus £1.64 holiday pay)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver regular planned reviews of support and risk plans, resulting in support plans
- Support residents with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal care)
- Manage crisis situations, relapse and behavioural challenges using de-escalation techniques
- Coordinate support with external agencies and attend and contribute to multi-agency and safeguarding meetings
- Advocate for residents and support them to attend external appointments
- Support move-on pathways into sustainable accommodation
- Support residents to maintain tenancies and understand occupancy agreements, manage rent, service charges and arrears and access welfare benefits
- Complete referrals, assessments and admissions documentation
