Central Recruitment is currently working with a London-based charity that is dedicated to creating positive change by providing support to individuals on their journey towards independence. Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in the Crystal Palace area at a service providing support to various client groups including young people with a background of homelessness, challenging behaviour and teenage parents.

Salary: £16.90 per hour (£15.08 per hour, with £1.82 holiday pay)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (rota basis)

Shifts: 7AM - 3PM and 2PM - 10PM

Location: Crystal Palace

Temporary: approx. 3 months (possibility of extension)

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting young adults or people who have experienced homelessness
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and their practical application
  • Knowledge of homelessness support services, including welfare benefits
  • Ability to maintain accurate records using databases and IT systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use basic coaching and counselling techniques to support customers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
