Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for Support Workers to work in various locations across London on an ad hoc basis. We have work available in various shift patterns, including early, late, waking nights, and sleep-ins. Pay rates range from 16.59-17.54 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) depending on location.

In this position, candidates are expected to provide effective day to day shift cover that supports the aims of the project, safeguards the residents and provides effective support within a harm minimisation and strengths and recovery framework. You will provide an effective, high quality support service to men and women with complex and enduring needs in relation to homelessness, substance misuse and related issues (i.e. street activity, mental health).

To apply for this role, you must have at least 12 months paid experience of working with homeless adults who have a variety of additional needs including substance misuse or mental health needs. In these positions, the candidates are expected to have the ability to cope with customers who display challenging behaviour, and an understanding of the risks associated with specific service user groups. You must also be able to work flexibly with clients who have a low level of engagement with the service.
