Central Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to provide flexible agency cover across a range of supported accommodation and homelessness services for young people in various locations across London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people facing a range of challenges, including homelessness, mental health needs, substance misuse, and other complex support needs. You'll play a vital role in helping individuals build confidence, develop independence, and work towards positive outcomes.
We have a variety of shifts available to suit different schedules, including early, late, waking night, and sleep-in shifts, offering flexibility around your existing commitments. The pay rate for this role ranges from £16.59 - £17.54 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) depending on the service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to young people
- Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive life choices
- Supporting individuals within a strengths-based and recovery-focused framework
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment
- Safeguarding vulnerable young people and responding appropriately to concerns
- Completing accurate records and handovers
To apply for this role, you must have at least 12 months’ paid experience supporting young people with multiple disadvantages.
FURTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid right to work in the UK
- Relevant sector experience
- A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
- Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
