About the role
- Lead and manage clinical pharmacy, dispensary, and distribution services at Rockhampton Hospital, ensuring high‑quality patient care and operational excellence.
- Provide professional leadership and direct line management to pharmacists, interns, pharmacy assistants, administration officers, and operational staff across the pharmacy service.
- Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services while supporting medication safety, quality improvement initiatives, KPI performance, accreditation compliance, and legislative requirements.
- Oversee and support pharmacy services across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service network, including regional and specialist facilities, while advising senior management on service improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Drive workforce development and continuous improvement through staff supervision, competency training, performance reviews, change management, and the development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
About you
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharmacy and registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia). A relevant post‑graduate qualification in pharmacy practice/management and previous hospital pharmacy management experience is highly desirable.
What we offer
- Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. (AUD) is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (AUD)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
