Our role
At Central Power Services, sales is about relationships, trust and finding the right solution. We’re looking for a Sales Manager – Generator Rental to help grow our hire business across the Midlands, supporting customers with reliable temporary and standby power solutions. This is a field-based role where you’ll be trusted to manage your territory, build long-term customer relationships and work closely with our operations and engineering teams to make sure what we sell is delivered safely and effectively. You’ll be supported by an experienced team and given the freedom to develop the region in the right way.
What the role involves:
- Promoting and selling generator rental and temporary power solutions to new and existing customers
- Managing and growing a defined Midlands territory
- Identifying new opportunities across industrial, commercial, construction, events and public-sector customers
- Visiting customer sites to assess power requirements and recommend appropriate hire solutions
- Building long-term relationships through consultative, technically informed sales
- Preparing quotations, proposals and tailored hire packages
- Working closely with operations, logistics and engineering to ensure smooth delivery and high service levels
What we’re looking for:
- A strong understanding of temporary power solutions and hire processes
- Confident, relationship-driven approach to sales
- Comfortable engaging with site managers, facilities teams, contractors, consultants and procurement teams
- Able to manage your own pipeline and deliver consistent results
- Self-motivated, organised and clear in your communication
