We are a family-run plant hire company seeking an experienced and hardworking HGV Class 2 Plant Lorry Driver to join our team. The role involves delivering mini diggers, excavators, and dumpers across Sussex and Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe loading and unloading of plant machinery, ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Daily driving duties, complying with all legal obligations and company procedures
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
- Yard duties as required, including preparing machinery for hire
- Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Providing excellent customer service while interacting with clients
Requirements
- Must have experience handling mini diggers, excavators, and dumpers (applications without this will not be considered)
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and plant machinery transport
- Good understanding of road transport legislation and Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and with good communication skills
