Central Park Greyhound Stadium are looking for lively and hardworking people to join our staff. Our team’s friendly attitude is reflected by the smiles on the customer’s faces from the moment they enter the stadium until the moment they leave. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and are always looking for different ways to excel.
As a Paddock Steward, you will control and supervise the conduct of all licensed persons, including trainers, within the paddock area. You will help enforce the highest standards of greyhound welfare, maintain paddock cleanliness to the highest level, and support the smooth running of race meetings. You will also assist the racing office to ensure full compliance with Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) Rules of Racing and local operational regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and kennels/paddock areas remain clean and tidy
- Place integrity and welfare at the heart of all tasks
- Assist with kennel procedures in line with GBGB Rules of Racing
- Communicate effectively with the paddock team and racing office during race meetings
- Build strong working relationships with stewards, trainers, and kennel staff
- Scan microchips and check ear marks and racing jackets to verify greyhound identity
- Maintain strict security and control of the kennel area
- Support greyhound welfare and safety around the track during races
