As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Marketing Manager to join our Hotel & Accommodation division, based in Glasgow (with regular travel to Edinburgh and occasionally the north).
With a focus on commercial thinking as well as entrepreneurial spirit, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Of Communications with all aspects of marketing for the Hotel & Accommodation division of the estate, which comprises 12 sites across 7 brands. Your portfolio will include Hotels, Services Apartments, and Student Accommodation.
This role will oversee the planning, implementation and reporting on all marketing campaigns for each hotel. This role will require you to work with key stakeholders including the wider marketing team, the revenue team and the Senior Operations and Revenue team to drive brand awareness and loyalty for the business and ultimately to drive top line sales, specifically via direct bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign and comms strategy roll out which will improve sales and market share for our portfolio of venues, with particular focus on driving direct booking business.
- Creating targeted campaigns for specific retail opportunities throughout the year including key calendar dates, re-marketing, and segmentation marketing, making use of revenue specific programmes such as The Hotel Network and Opera.
- Supporting the M&E side of our hotel businesses and implementing targeted demographic specific marketing plans for things like wedding and corporate business.
- Digital copy & content, including but not limited to mailers, social media content, boosted posts, copy for websites including blog content.
- Working with the digital team including the Senior Web Designer to help develop and maintain our website content for maximum conversion, ensuring imagery, copy, layout and customer journey is constantly reviewed and improved where required.
- Working closely with external PPC resource to maximise results and ROI across AdWords and paid ads.
- PR, including a strong focus on securing media coverage for our brands and working with the Group Marketing Manager to secure maximum return on influencer and press content.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent OR at least 2+ years of marketing or project management experience as part of an inhouse team or agency with specific experience in Hotels or Hospitality.
- Able to produce copy for use across the digital and physical space which is on brand and of the highest quality.
- A strong understanding of the accommodation market (the local market in Edinburgh would be greatly advantageous) including key and emergent trends, innovation, and market share.
- Work toward tight deadlines whilst producing a high standard of work.
- IT literate including email management, scheduling and filing.
- Eloquent, enthusiastic, and always willing to learn.
- Able to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
