Based in the Central Office in Peterborough and reporting to a Management Accountant Team Leader, this role is responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts for a number of schools within the group. Working closely with Finance Business Partners, staff across the schools and other Central Office functions, this role is pivotal in providing schools with good quality financial information to empower them in decision making. The role also encompasses assisting with the schools’ budgets and forecasts preparation and supporting the wider finance team as required.
About You
- AAT or equivalent, qualified and continuing study for a recognised professional accounting qualification (eg CIMA, ACCA).
- Knowledge of management accounting principles and techniques.
- Very good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions is desirable.
- A strong team player providing assistance and support to colleagues when required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Very good attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing environment with the ability to be proactive and bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the department as the group continues to grow.
