We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Children’s Community Nursing Service in our Inner London Division We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Children’s Community Nurse who is looking to share and develop their skills in the largest community healthcare trust in London
The post holder will work within the Children’s Community Nursing Team, visiting children in the community with a wide range of conditions, with the aim of reducing hospital admissions and attendances. The role will include nursing care, training, and supporting families, as well as deputising for Team leads, and supporting and mentoring student nurses.
The team provides a service to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years, and works across the 3 London Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster. The team works closely with colleagues in Primary Care, hospitals, social services and education.
One post is for 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked flexibly over 7 days a week. This post offers a great opportunity for a children’s qualified nurse to develop and enhance skills and experience in community nursing. The organisation is supportive of training needs and there is an excellent mandatory training and education programme. You will also receive regular clinical supervision and safeguarding supervision., To work as part of the Children’s Community Nursing Team, taking responsibility for the assessment, management and evaluation of evidenced based nursing care to children and their families or carers
To coordinate the day to day workload in the absence of Team Leads
To take responsibility for Learner Nurses on placement with the Team
You will need to be passionate about children’s nursing, enjoy working as a team as well as being autonomous, and have at least 2 years’ experience at band 5, ideally including at least 1 year in a community setting., Interview arrangements will be communicated via email so please check your email regularly following the closing date.
