We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner to join the team - working autonomously using skills within the four pillars of physiotherapy and advanced clinical practice including undertaking a specific clinical case load in the expert assessment and treatment of patients with highly complex musculoskeletal presentations, using advanced clinical reasoning skills to determine clinical diagnosis, prognosis, and ongoing management.

To provide the highest level of expertise on musculoskeletal conditions to assist the organisation and strategic direction of the physiotherapy service across the whole organisation utilising the principles of clinical governance. To educate and train physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students in the physiotherapeutic management of musculoskeletal conditions. To provide advanced support and advice to clinical staff within and outside the organisation to better affect patient care and service redesign. To lead on research and audit activity with reference to identified musculoskeletal disorders. To communicate frequently with key clinical stakeholders to ensure service needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for organising, developing and evaluating the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service, working closely with stakeholders to ensure appropriate management of selected patients seen in the Physiotherapy Practitioner clinics.
  • To provide a high standard of clinical care for adult patients with musculoskeletal problems.
  • To be responsible for the clinical leadership within the physiotherapy musculoskeletal service.
  • Provide expert clinical opinion to managers, which assists the strategic direction of the physiotherapy service across the whole organisation utilising the principles of clinical governance.
