Overview
Bank Band 6 Podiatrist role providing patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
You will assess, treat and manage a diverse caseload including community clinic and domiciliary patients, ensure high standards of clinical practice, and support service development through supervision and mentorship of junior clinicians, Podiatry Assistants and students on clinical placements.
You will work across different clinic locations and community settings, with travel between sites as needed.
You should be HCPC-registered and able to demonstrate excellent communication, clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat and manage a diverse caseload including community clinic and domiciliary patients.
- Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and delegate work to junior clinicians, Podiatry Assistants and support staff; mentor students on clinical placements.
- Recognise when specialist input is required and make appropriate referrals in collaboration with Highly Specialist Clinicians.
- Be flexible to work across different clinic locations and community settings; travel between sites as required.
- Provide service development support through supervision, delegation and mentorship to ensure high-quality podiatry services.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
- Excellent communication, clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
- Ability to work across varied clinics and community settings with flexibility to manage a busy workload.
- Experience supervising junior clinicians and support staff; able to mentor students during placements.
- Willingness to liaise with and refer to Highly Specialist Clinicians when necessary.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
