Responsibilities

  • To provide specialised treatments with the appropriate skills and knowledge.
  • To autonomously assess and diagnose patients.
  • To have the ability to assess patients with very high risk factors.
  • To create and implement tailored treatment and specialised care plans.
  • To adopt a problem solving approach, engaging patients and carers in their treatment plan.
  • To provide general and specialist foot health advice.
  • To carry out regular Nail Surgery sessions on a basis.
  • To liaise with members of the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • To have a high level of focus and concentration necessary to work in an environment of interruptions and distractions while simultaneously performing complicated and physically demanding treatment.
  • To delegate care in appropriate circumstances to Podiatry assistants.
  • To maintain accurate patient records including assessment and treatment plans.
  • Ensure that the condition of clinical rooms are maintained in accordance with infection control and the Podiatry service guidelines.
  • To be involved in developing clinical standards and protocols of care in line with community and service needs.

Working Patterns

  • 1.0 WTE (Full-Time) โ€“ open to experienced Band 6 Podiatrists and Band 5 Podiatrists applying for a development role.
  • 0.8 WTE โ€“ ideal for candidates seeking a flexible working pattern.
  • Flexible working options are available for both posts, supporting a healthy work-life balance and welcoming applicants with diverse needs and commitments.
