A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an AHP to join the award-winning CLCH Practice Development Allied Health Professionals (AHP) team across adult and children's community pathways of care. Our AHP workforce consists of Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Orthoptics, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Speech and Language Therapists. The post-holder will be based in the Outer North West division, supporting the Outer North West clinical teams across the neighbourhood system. This role is fully visible and will work 80% in Division supporting clinical development, competence and skills in practice and 20% supporting supervision, personal skills development and any training preparation.

We are seeking an AHP with active clinical experience who is eager to develop their skills in AHP workforce development. Using a quality improvement approach, the Practice Development AHP will support the clinical workforce in delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred interventions in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the practice development network, alongside multi-professional colleagues
  • Support the clinical workforce to enhance skills and competence through mentoring, training, and practice development initiatives
  • Apply quality improvement methodology to drive evidence-based practice in community care
  • Collaborate with professional leads and teams to optimise workforce potential
  • Contribute to the continuous professional development of clinical staff, including supporting learning and education programmes

The successful candidate will be part of the practice development network working alongside our nursing colleagues. You would be professionally supported by the AHP Practice Education Lead and would link in with the Chief AHP and Professional AHP Leads within the organisation.
