BANKArts & Crafts Teacher To implement and teach sessions of arts and crafts, in a therapeutic way at The Pembridge Hospice, thereby contributing to, and maintaining creative and therapeutic patient care in a safe and congenial environment.

Main duties of the job

  • To encourage and supervise volunteers/other staff who assist patients in these activities and encourage their active contribution and participation in sessions.
  • To engage student nurses and any other staff on orientation, or at anytime during their placement at Pembridge, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Arts and Craft in Palliative Care

Experience

  • Experience with arts and craft in palliative care

Skills

  • Good patient care skills
  • Excellent communication skills comprehension, oral and written skills in English.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to promote and encourage change
  • Information Technology skills
