Senior Lecturer in Law - Inspire Next Generation of Lawyers in Reading

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our thriving Vocational team at our Reading campus, located on the beautiful University of Reading London Road campus, just a short walk from the Whiteknights campus and the vibrant town centre. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from qualified lawyers (solicitors and barristers) with experience in the following areas:

• Business Law
• Mergers and Acquisitions
• Commercial Law
• Criminal Litigation

We offer full-time, permanent roles working 35 hours per week and are also open to considering candidates seeking part-time hours at minimum commitment of 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week). You can view the job descriptions here for the Lecturer and Senior Lecturer vacancies.

As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer at ULaw, you will:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support, while assessing student work and progress through the preparation and marking of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback and feedforward.
• Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
• Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning.
• Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
• Act as a module lecturer, academic coach and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Is this you?: Do you bring a strong breadth and depth of professional experience within your discipline, with the ability to design and deliver high-quality teaching programmes while providing impactful student support?

Requirements for Lecturer positions:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE

Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
• PgCHE or equivalent
