As we continue to grow, we’re particularly keen to hear from talented lawyers and experienced lecturers who are passionate about delivering an outstanding student experience. We are looking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with experience in Canadian Law to join our Academic Law Team at our London, Bloomsbury campus. Whether you’re considering a move out of practice or you’re already working in higher education, this is your opportunity to shape the next generation of legal professionals.

We offer full-time, permanent roles working 35 hours per week and are also open to considering candidates seeking part‑time hours at minimum commitment of 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week).

As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer at ULaw, you will:

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and support for learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support, while assessing student work and progress through the preparation and marking of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback and feed‑forward.
  • Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
  • Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning.
  • Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
  • Act as a module lecturer, academic coach and sign‑post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Requirements for Lecturer positions:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE

Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
  • PgCHE or equivalent
