First Contact Physiotherapist – Central Health
Central Health is currently working with PCNs across the UK to deliver a rapid roll‑out of First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) services. This is an exciting journey that will revolutionise the care and treatment patients with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions receive in an NHS setting.
In order to progress this roll‑out, we’re recruiting existing FCPs as well as ambitious Band 6 or early Band 7 Physiotherapists who are looking to move into this new area of service delivery and become First Contact Physiotherapists.
Responsibilities
- Deploy your proven physiotherapy skills and make sound judgement calls.
- Manage patients through clear and effective care pathways designed to achieve the very best outcomes.
- Work from GP surgeries across specific PCNs, dealing with a diverse caseload and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare management team.
- Provide primary assessment, diagnosis and management options so patients gain a better understanding of their problems and treatment options.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced clinical practice skills.
- The ability to self‑manage.
- Good communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Good IT skills.
- HCPC and CSP registration.
- Post‑graduate/Masters level qualifications desirable.
- Experience as an FCP or in a band 6/7 physiotherapy role.
