Central Garage is looking to recruit a fully skilled, experienced Diagnostic Technician to work alongside our existing skilled and dedicated team delivering a first-class service to our customers. The successful candidate will hold NVQ qualifications to Level 3. You must be able to use current diagnostic equipment, have a proven track record in delivering 'right first time' work and be a team player with excellent communication skills. In this role you will work towards productivity and efficiency targets, carry out diagnostic work, and repair and service all makes of vehicles. Main dealer experience would be preferred; however full training will be given both on site and with the manufacturer. A full driving licence is essential along with a flexible and customer focused attitude.

Essential skills- A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid diagnostic work experience in the automotive industry

- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment
- Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts
- Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised)
- Road testing vehicles to check repairs
- Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition
- Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
- Completing all documentation to the required standard
