Central Foundation is located on the Old Street Silicon Roundabout and at the heart of the Tech City, which offers a range of amazing opportunities for our students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Art to join our creative arts faculty. The position will be suitable for both a newly qualified and more experienced teacher who is looking to take on additional responsibility within a department as a key stage coordinator.
The Art department is housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century chapel conversion and includes two art studios, a kiln room and an art store room. The department is supported by a full-time creative arts technician. Our school is a high performing comprehensive, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in March 2025. The students' outcomes have been consistently exceptional both at KS4 and KS5, and Art is delivered at KS5. We offer a broad curriculum with a focus on academic subjects as well as vocational education. Our extra-curricular provision supports the student experience in the classroom – Sport, Music, Drama, Art, Coding, Debating and Cooking are very popular with our students. Students benefit from language trips to Spain, France and China, and the school has a strong sense of community and a diverse student body.
