Join us in shaping the next generation of screen talent! Central Film School is seeking a Student Recruitment & Admissions Officer to support the delivery of a responsive and conversion-focused admissions process. This role sits at the centre of the applicant journey, from first enquiry through to enrolment, and plays a key role in how we engage, support, and convert prospective students. Working within a small, friendly, and ambitious team, you will help ensure that every applicant interaction reflects the School’s values: professional, personal, and student-focused.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Admissions & Applicant Journey
    • Manage and respond to applicant enquiries across multiple channels (email, phone, CRM).
    • Guide prospective students through the admissions process, providing clear and accurate advice.
    • Process applications in line with institutional policies and timelines.
    • Support the coordination of interviews and applicant assessments.
    • Ensure all applicant records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Recruitment & Conversion
    • Build relationships with prospective students to support application progression and conversion.
    • Deliver a high-quality, personalised applicant experience.
    • Follow up with applicants at key stages of the pipeline to maintain engagement.
    • Support recruitment activities including Open Days, Offer Holder Days, and external events.
  • Systems & Data Management
    • Use CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage applicant pipelines effectively.
    • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
    • Support reporting on application volumes, conversion rates, and recruitment activity.
    • Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of admissions processes and systems.
  • Access & Participation
    • Support the delivery of inclusive recruitment and admissions practices.
    • Engage effectively with applicants from diverse backgrounds.
    • Contribute to the School’s Access & Participation objectives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Essential
    • Strong literacy and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
    • High level of digital proficiency, including office productivity tools (e.g. Google Workspace).
    • Minimum 1 year of experience delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced or complex environment.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and support a diverse range of applicants.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Interest in student mobility and intercultural exchange.
  • Desirable
    • Experience working in higher education, particularly in a student-facing role.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot.
    • Interest in creative arts and/or creative arts higher education.
