We're looking for an experienced and passionate filmmaker-educator to join Central Film School as our next Filmmaking Course Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of filmmakers while leading one of our flagship programmes at a specialist higher education provider dedicated to practice-based screen education.

As Course Leader, you'll provide academic and operational leadership across your programme(s), ensuring an outstanding student experience from induction through to graduation. Working alongside talented academics and industry practitioners, you'll play a key role in curriculum development, quality assurance, student success and the continued growth of the School.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the academic delivery and ongoing development of your programme
  • Managing and supporting Module Leaders and Sessional Tutors
  • Delivering engaging teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Driving student success, progression and satisfaction
  • Leading assessment, moderation and quality assurance processes
  • Supporting curriculum enhancement and programme planning
  • Working collaboratively across the School to maintain an exceptional student experience
  • Representing your programme during admissions, interviews and recruitment events

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading modules or programmes within Higher Education
  • Holds a Level 7 qualification in filmmaking or a closely related discipline
  • Has a recognised teaching qualification or HEA Fellowship
  • Brings current industry experience into the classroom
  • Is passionate about developing emerging creative talent
  • Is an organised and collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring colleagues
  • Believes in inclusive, student-centred education
  • Experience designing or contributing to the development of programmes
