What will you be doing?
As one of our Payroll Administrators, your primary focus will be providing administrative support on our 4 weekly payroll cycle. As a member of this talented and friendly team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of payroll related processes that will need to be handled with efficiency and accuracy. You\’ll be adhering to Society policies and Statutory legislation and uphold confidentiality in everything you do. This role will see you work in partnership with a variety of key people – from internal colleagues to external providers (such as HMRC and DWP). Our payroll team play a vital part in providing a colleague experience which aligns to our cultural framework- we are the difference makers. If you are someone who has a colleague focused mindset and finds enjoyment when being able to think on their feet, positively respond to challenges, and work using your own initiative, we would love to hear from you! In this hybrid role, a mixture of both office and home working is on offer.
How will I know if I am right for this role?
This is a high volume, fast paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail is needed. Our Payroll Administrator will be someone who has a colleague focused mindset. A true team-player, you’ll be supportive of the wider team activities and contribute towards these in a positive and proactive manner. With the support and guidance from leadership, we’re looking for someone with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. The ideal candidate will have previous practical payroll experience as well as experience supporting in a front-line environment. You’ll bring a good practical knowledge and understanding of the full payroll cycle. Having great customer service skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships would make you ideal for this role. You’ll also need to hold Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
