What will you be doing?

As our IT Cloud & Data Centre Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, as well as managing our technical architecture. This includes overseeing our Azure tenant and network, ensuring that patches, firmware upgrades, and releases are consistently applied in line with the Society’s governance standards.

You’ll also play a key role in delivering strategic IT projects that support our long-term goals.

You’ll help maintain a seamless level of support by ensuring our applications, systems, services, and infrastructure are available 24/7/365, while all interactions with third parties are conducted within the agreed SLAs.

Some operational processes you will help oversee include:

  • Management of Azure
  • Use of Terraform to deploy to Azure
  • Backup management
  • Service alerting and monitoring
  • Performance management of live services
  • New service commissions and decommissions
  • Disaster/recovery tests
  • Third-party management and escalation
  • Patch management
  • Firmware upgrades
