Based at our Coffin Factory in Nottinghamshire, we are recruiting for Factory Operatives to join our amazing and dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills.

You’ll be working to complete production processes to deliver industry leading standards in quality and performance whilst adhering to health & safety regulations. You’ll also help make sure that stock rotation and levels are kept up to agreed levels.

You’ll use your knowledge of our products and processes to produce a variety of items which may include baby caskets, ashes caskets, crosses, and regency caskets. You’ll oversee all daily processes in your section/department.

You’ll communicate daily process performance information for the Production/Delivery Team Leader as well as communicating daily requirements and performance targets with regards to department schedules.

Acting as a cooperative and supportive team member within the coffin factory, you’ll promote an open and effective working relationship with all colleagues and 3rd parties and assist with promoting our Coffin Factory within the local community.

In addition to ensuring machinery and premises are always kept clean and tidy, you’ll also carry out any other duties as required.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience of working in a factory environment, as well as flexibility in working time patterns.

Previous experience in timber processes is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

This fast‑paced role requires dedication and enthusiasm as well as strong organisation and communication skills. You should be customer focused as well as a good team player. You’ll be working as part of a team but will also have individual targets.
