I’m supporting a growing digital agency in Newcastle who are looking for a WordPress Developer to join their collaborative, high‑performing team. If you enjoy building things properly, clean code, custom functionality, and websites that genuinely run well, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building custom WordPress themes and plugins (no off‑the‑shelf templates)
- Working closely with design, strategy & SEO teams
- Improving site performance, security & scalability
- Participating in code reviews & contributing to development best practice
- Integrating APIs and external data sources
- Working within a modern, Git-based workflow
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience with bespoke WordPress development (ACF, custom post types, Gutenberg, hooks/filters)
- Experience using Git & version control workflows
- Bonus: familiarity with WooCommerce, REST APIs, React, or Vue
