Central Employment are working with a now global, rapidly expanding and cutting edge manufacturer of electronic based solutions. They are looking to scale their customer footprint throughout Europe, appointing a driven and successful Senior Business Development Manager.
UK/remote, travel to their UK facilities would be expected. European travel. Circa £100k DOE + bonus and industry leading benefits package.
Senior Business Development Manager profile:The Senior Business Development Manager will own the development and execution of strategic growth plans for key space primes, space OEMs, system integrators, satellite operators and government customers. The role combines strategic market development, senior account ownership and opportunity leadership, with a strong emphasis on early programme positioning, long-cycle opportunity capture and margin-focused growth. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role will act as a senior commercial interface between the company and its customers, while also influencing internal investment priorities, product roadmap decisions and go-to-market strategy.
Main responsibilities:- Own and deliver agreed revenue, pipeline and margin targets for space customers in Europe.
- Develop and execute multi-year account and growth strategies aligned to strategic objectives.
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities for RF, microwave and mmWave products and subsystems across applications including radar, electronic warfare, secure communications and satellite payloads.
- Drive early engagement and positioning on future programmes to secure design influence and long-term production opportunities.
- Build and sustain senior-level relationships across customer engineering, programme, commercial and procurement organisations.
- Lead complex opportunity capture from early concept through bid, negotiation and contract award, coordinating internal stakeholders across engineering, programme management, operations and finance.
- Navigate formal procurement processes, ensuring compliant, competitive and value-led proposals.
- Proven track record in senior business development or technical sales within space, defence or adjacent aerospace markets.
- Strong technical understanding of RF front-end architectures, including filters, power amplifiers, TRMs and transceivers for radar, EW and satellite communications systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, long-cycle solution sales with high value customers and multi-year programmes.
- Established relationships with space primes / space system integrators or satellite operators within the UK and/or Europe are highly desirable.
