An established manufacturing organisation are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector / Administrator to join its team. The company supplies a wide range of solutions across the UK and internationally, with a strong reputation for product quality and exceptional customer service.

Role Overview

This dual role combines hands-on quality inspection with administrative support for quality systems and compliance. The successful candidate will ensure that products meet stringent standards and that all documentation and reporting are accurate, organised, and fully aligned with internal and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Inspection
  • Inspect raw materials, in‑process items, and finished products against defined specifications.
  • Conduct routine quality checks and ensure results are recorded with precision.
  • Identify and report non‑conformances, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update calibration records for measuring and testing equipment.
  • Administration
    • Prepare and manage quality documentation, such as inspection reports and compliance records.
    • Support ISO and other quality management system audits.
    • Liaise with production and warehouse teams to uphold quality standards throughout operations.
    • Assist with customer enquiries related to product quality, testing, and certifications.

    Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
    • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
    • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
    • Knowledge of ISO standards or quality management systems is advantageous.
