Workday Payroll Project Advisor β 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
We\βre looking for a Payroll Project Advisor to join our team and ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations during a period of transition. This role is critical in supporting process improvements and aligning payroll practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a complete, accurate, and timely payroll service to the business.
- Assist the payroll function through system transition and organisational alignment, contributing to project and change initiatives.
- Partner with site teams to gather insights, identify challenges, and implement solutions that streamline and automate processes.
- Develop clear process documentation in collaboration with payroll and business analysis teams.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) alongside the BAU payroll team.
- Provide training to payroll staff on updated processes and new ways of working.
- Support testing phases and parallel payroll runs to ensure successful implementation.
Skills & Experience
- Recognized payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation, with a strong focus on compliance and governance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational awareness.
- Strong communication abilities to build effective, collaborative relationships.
- Advanced IT and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in payroll transition projects and system migrations.
- Familiarity with Workday Payroll and payroll project management.
- Proven track record in payroll reconciliations.
